Terms of Service
- You get the number in hand well before our truck ever shows up
- 7 trucks, one company payroll — every mover you meet works for us directly
- Every job across Philadelphia's Northwest Suburbs travels under a $1M cargo policy
These terms govern any quote, booking, or moving service you arrange with SVJ Platinum Moving (‘SVJ Platinum Moving,’ ‘we,’ ‘us’). By requesting a quote, booking a move, or otherwise using our services, you agree to the terms below.
Any quote provided by phone, email, or through this website – whether hourly or flat-rate – is an estimate based on the information you gave us at the time. It becomes a confirmed price only once we’ve reviewed your full inventory (in person, by video, or by a detailed list) and put the final number in writing, whether as an email confirmation or a signed order for service. Estimates given before we’ve seen the actual load are not binding if the scope of the move turns out to be materially different on move day.
Local moves are billed hourly: $145/hour for a two-mover crew and $195/hour for a three-mover crew, both subject to a two-hour minimum, or as a flat rate once we know the size of the move – generally $480-$730 for a studio or one-bedroom, $920-$1,540 for a two-bedroom, $1,750-$2,650 for a three-bedroom, and $2,820-$4,050 for a four-bedroom home. Piano moving is quoted separately at $250-$420 for an upright and $420-$770 for a baby grand. Short-term storage runs $140-$325 per month depending on the space needed. Long-distance moves are priced individually based on load size, distance, and route rather than these local rates.
We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule a booked move without a fee. Changes made with less notice, or cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled move, may carry a rescheduling charge to cover the crew and truck already held for you. We’ll always tell you the applicable amount before confirming a change.
We carry $1,000,000 in cargo coverage on every move, and we’re a registered Pennsylvania household-goods carrier through the PA PUC for local work, with US DOT and MC operating authority for interstate moves. Any claim for loss or damage should be reported to our office as soon as possible after the move so we can document and address it promptly; specific coverage terms will be provided at booking.
You agree to give our crew safe and reasonably clear access to the property being moved, to disclose any items requiring special handling (such as pianos, safes, or hazardous materials) before move day, and to have someone authorized present to direct the crew and sign off on the completed move.
Any dispute arising from these terms or from a move we perform is handled under the laws applicable in the Commonwealth where our Wyndmoor office is located, and any legal proceeding related to our services is expected to take place in the Pennsylvania county where that office sits, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page at the time of your booking applies to that move. Questions about these terms can be directed to [email protected] or (888) 278-9005.
